GUIDELINES TO PARENTS/ GUARDIANS

 

  1. To accomplish the integral education of the students, the School Administration requires full cooperation from parents.  Thus, the following reminders are prescribed:
  2. Parents are expected to give their whole-hearted support and cooperation with the authorities in the implementation of school rules and regulation, which are intended to develop sound Christian values and total formation.
  3. Regular and prompt attendance to classes depends mostly on the student’s diligence and parental follow-up.  Irregular attendance leads to the loss of interest and discouragement on the part of the students.
  4. From time to time, the School Administration shall issue directives, information, or announcement for the interest of parents and students.  This may be through circulars from the Principal or teacher’s note on the student diary/planner, through email and Schoology.  Parents are strongly advised to check on these to keep abreast with reminders, schedules, and other important matters.
  5. The school assumes responsibility for the students only during school hours, that is, from 7:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.  Students are not allowed to leave the school during the said school hours unless fetched by parents/guardians for a valid reason.
  6. The norms of propriety and mutual respect and ethics should be observed in all school transactions and dealings.
  7. The school administrators will gladly entertain clarifications regarding school policies and regulations.
  8. Parents who do not live with their daughters should appoint a guardian who is authorized to assume the responsibilities and to act on their behalf. They should formally inform the class adviser through a letter if necessary.
  9. In case of absence, a letter explaining the reason for the absence written and signed by the parent/s is required.  The letter must be dated and addressed to the Class Adviser or the Student Formation Coordinator. The form for explanation of absences provided in the Student Planner/ Diary may also be used for this purpose.
  10. Conference or consultation of parents with teachers or school administrators should be by appointment through the. Class Adviser who will inform the Academic Coordinator.
  11.  No parent or outsider can get a student from classes without a written permit from the Principal/ Guidance Coordinator or Student Formation Coordinator.
  12. The school does not allow any parent, guardian, relative or helper to stay within the school premises during class hours  (DepEd Order. Sec. 159, Revised Manual Regulation for Private Schools).
  13.  Parents, guardians, and/ or visitors are not allowed in the faculty rooms and or classrooms.
  14. Parents or guardians who wish to consult any faculty or school authority must seek an appointment with the concerned teacher or Subject Area Chair (SAC). Date and time of the meeting will then be scheduled and communicated through the student’s school diary or planner. The school may not entertain parents/guardians who come without an appointment.
  15. In case of conflict among students, parents/ guardians are not allowed to talk/ communicate to the student/s with whom his/her daughter/ or ward has conflict with.  This includes the use of phone, private message on Facebook, twitter and the like.  Any complaint or concern among students must be coursed through the adviser.
  16.  Parents/Guardians are advised to hire transport services recognized by the school.  School authorities should be notified of the irregularities of the transport services.
  17.  Parents should transact all financial obligations and collections sanctioned by the school directly to the cashier’s office.
  18.  Owners of private cars shall secure sticker/ gate pass from the cashier’s office.  stickers/ gate passes are valid for the current school year only.  The school does not allow regular entry of vehicles without gate pass.
  19. Parents should personally come to get   the report cards of their child/children on the designated dates.
  20.  In case of accidents, the school physician and/ or school nurse is available to give medical aid or to take the student to the hospital.
  21.  Students must not bring expensive instruments like digital or video cameras, laptop,  IPAD,  and other electronic gadgets in the campus.  Likewise, parents are also discouraged to allow their daughters to wear expensive jewelry or bring big amount of money to school.
  22.  Appointment with the family physician/ dentist should be on a non-school day so that the child will not miss her class.
  23. Students are prohibited from bringing and using cellular phones inside the classroom/campus.  If parents would like their daughters to be excused from this policy for a valid reason, special arrangements have to be made with the Adviser or Student Formation Coordinator.
  24. For any Saturday activities, students must secure permission slips from their parents to be submitted to the Principal’s Office two days before the activity.
  25.  Check payments are not accepted in March and April of the present school year.
  26.  All requested student credentials and school documents would be released after three working days from the date of request.
  27.  Submit an Affidavit of Loss in case of loss of official school documents.
  28.  The school reserves the right to impose other (reasonable) requirements and policies not contained in the Student Handbook for the general wellbeing of the students and the school. Parents will be duly notified for additional or change in the policy
